- Though it is a bit boring design with bigger bezels, it looks good and feels lighter, when you are holding it in your hand.
- Just Black, Kinda Blue and Clearly white are the available colours for Google Pixel 2
- Aluminum body with plastic coating at the back would provide enough grip on the device.
2. USER INTERFACE
- Stock Android Experience would give simple and smooth User Interface
- Though it is pretty good, it needs certain improvements in the font section in the settings to give premium feel atleast in a flagship smartphones. Apple does that, you will defintely feel the premium look when you are holding an iPhone, so that andriod users would also expect the same from google and other manufacturers.
3. CAMERA QUALITY
- 12.2 MP camera is Adipoli alias Awesome. As mentioned above, this smartphone would look alike 2016 model phone, its camera is also no different from that. It comes with single camera with f/1.8 aperture, which gives you beautiful pictures in low light conditions as well. Portrait mode is possible through Artificial Intelligence, otherwise you can say that process the image after the shot has been made. Though functionality can be possible through many applications available in the market, its result looks phenomenonal.
- It has 2160p video recording with 30fps and it helps you to capture Slow Motion videos with 240 and 120 frames per second.
- 8 MP Front camera with portrait mode does a decent job, but needs improvement especially in portrait mode. However, Selfie portrait mode is not available in Android Oreo 8.0, which is a default version. AR Stickers and Selfie portrait modes are available only in Oreo 8.1.0
4. PERFORMANCE
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa core processor with 4GB RAM, delivering a very good performance without any lag.
- Battery life seems to be good and it lasts long for more than 20 hrs for a normal user.
5. VERDICT
- Unlike buying an china manufacturered mobile phones like One Plus 5 and One Plus 5T and Struggling Finland manufacturer Nokia 8 for around Rs. 38,000, its worth buying an american based multinational company's product named Pixel 2, which is available for Rs 39,999 in a Flipkart 3 days Sale. Google Pixel 2 will have two years warranty all over the world, whereas all other manufacturers hasn;t given any promise regarding after sale service and support.
