One Plus 5 vs iPhone 7 Plus

AN INTRODUCTION :

One Plus 5 : It all started in the winter of 2013 with a simple, bold idea, make a better phone. But, not just a better phone – a better way of doing things. A new kind of tech company that works hand in hand with users to do something amazing, something meaningful.

OnePlus is a Shenzhen based Chinese smartphone manufacturer founded by Pete Lau (CEO) and Carl Pei in December 2013.

Most of us thinks that iOS can handle multi functional operation without any lag. It becomes a false statement, after updating iOS version to 11.0.1 with newy added control centre, video recoder and so on, it behaves abnormally even in Apple iPhone 7 plus. Certainly it may get resolved soon, but it shows that every OS has its advantage and disadvantage irrespective of any hardware. Experts says that apple itself produces its hardware and software, so that they would intergrate easily without any issues.

First thing coming to our mind ,when looking to buy a smartphone in online market is PRICE TAG. Then we would have a look at few review videos in youtube and then decide on certain model.
Here we have 2 mobile phones with extremely different kinds of history, geography alltogether.

DESIGN AND BUILD QUALITY :

Tamil Poetry Mr.Vairamuthu once quoted that, "Duplicate is always better than Original", when Mr.Sivakathikeyan was doing his mimicry performance in one of their award giving ceremony. Though design is copied from iPhone devices, OnePlus has optimized to meet our requirement. Optimization really stands out in terms of weight, premium feel etc. iPhone 7 plus weighs around 188 grams and One Plus 5 weighs around 153 grams, which seems to be the lightest device. Apple has to revisit their design management team to rectify overweight issue of their devices, because it is really heavy to hold it for long time. Dual cameras with a LED flash and fingerprint sensor are mounted on the back and front side of the devices respectively. It is always upto personal preference to choose the winner amon these two, but my choice is One Plus 5

UI EXPERIENCE :

iOS, which has a history of great user interface experience without any lag even it is forced to do some hard hitting actions. But history has now changed that, iOS 11.0 was released with numerous bugs, which is resulted in battery drain issue, 3D touch lag issue etc. Sooner or later, it may be addressed by apple is a different scenario. From now onwards, iPhone users cannot say their old trumpet story of smooth user experience. Having said that, Chinese manfacturer has done a decent job to make a smooth andorid experience in One Plus 5, which is supported by Oxygen OS 4.5.10.

CAMERA QUALITY :

Image Stabilization is a family of techniques that reduce blurring associated with motion of the camera or other imaging device during exposure. Optical Image Stablization(OIS) and Electronic Image Stablization(EIS) are the two types of Image Stablization. OnePlus gives a tough competition in terms of camera quality with iPhone 7 Plus, but iPhone wins the race by a very little margin.

PRICE AND VERDICT :

As mentioned in the name itself, (i)Phone still remains with those iPhone manufacturers alone. If someone wants to buy a solid performance driven, brick weighed mobile device, you could buy iPhone 7 Plus for around Rs. 67,900 ,  in which you can get global warranty for 1 year except liquid and dust damage. Moreover, software support will be available for atleast 3 years to experience future iOS features as well. On the other hand, iPhone look alike android device, which is available for around Rs. 37,999 , in which you are not guarenteed to get support services from OnePlus in india.

Final verdict is out here, OnePlus 5 is defintely for short term users, whereas iPhone 7 Plus is for long term users.
